It’s not often that we get an order to build these wheels for the cool little KTM 50, but we do make the hubs for it.
Below is a pic of the front and rear hub that we make. You can see in this photo and also in the photo above that they are both rather different from each other. The front is pretty standard issue. The rear has a more interesting semi-tangent design that we duplicated on our hub, and looks similar to the way our Hex series hubs look. But, this rear hub for the KTM 50 is one piece, and therefore differs from our Hex hubs which utilize bolt on sprocket and disc adaptors. (We invented that by the way, back in the late 90’s. Excel hubs which feature the same concept hit the market after ours. Fact)
Now you can see the complete wheels here. Customer chose gold rims to match the gold hubs. Looks pretty nice. The 10 and 12 x1.60 rims are so tiny that it’s almost hard to believe that they’re not for a toy motorcycle.
